Questions
Will Keptwise block my good customers?
No. Keptwise doesn't look at how much someone returns, only whether you got your goods back. Customers who order several sizes and return the ones that don't fit are never flagged. It rates orders and you decide what to do. Nothing is cancelled automatically.
Doesn't Shopify already protect me from fraud?
Shopify's fraud tools focus on stolen cards. Friendly fraud comes from real customers using their own cards, so it passes those checks. That's the gap Keptwise covers.
What data does Keptwise store?
To recognize repeat customers, Keptwise stores emails, phone numbers, addresses and IP addresses only as one-way hashes, plus order totals and what happened to each order. It keeps history for 24 months and deletes your store's data when you uninstall. Read the privacy policy.
Is it only for apparel?
It's built for apparel, footwear and accessories, where returns are highest, but it works for any Shopify store with physical products.
